Christians are called to be both salt and light in a world filled with darkness and decay. This calling requires believers to engage culture while remaining distinct from it through humility, trust in God, righteousness, mercy, and peacemaking. While facing opposition and persecution, Christians must make meaningful contact with the world rather than hiding, working to preserve good and bring hope to those hurting. This engagement should be marked by loving kindness, not arrogance, as believers serve as ambassadors of heaven in their daily interactions.
