Mark 9:39-50: Warning Signs

In Mark 9, Jesus delivers four urgent warnings that are just as relevant today as when He first spoke them. He calls His followers to stop dividing over secondary issues and recognize that anyone faithfully proclaiming His name is on the same team. He warns that the way we live either draws people toward Him or pushes them away, whether through harshness, hypocrisy, or indifference. He takes sin with absolute seriousness, using vivid imagery to remind us that sin is a heart disease that only Christ can cure. And He calls believers to remain salty, to live with purpose and urgency, because a right understanding of judgment makes the grace of the cross all the more breathtaking.
