Mark 10:32-45: The Road to Greatness

Most of us want our lives to matter, but the world's definition of greatness and Jesus' definition look nothing alike. In Mark 10, Jesus redefines greatness entirely, turning the world's pyramid of power upside down. While His disciples were focused on who would sit closest to Him in glory, Jesus pointed them toward a completely different path. True greatness in the kingdom of God is not about rank, recognition, or how many people follow you. It is about how many people you are willing to serve. Jesus did not just teach this principle. He lived it, giving His life as a ransom for many. We serve not to earn God's love, but because He served us first. The road to greatness leads to the cross, and the cross was not the end.
