Mark 12:28-35: What's Love Got To Do With It?
What does it really mean to love God and love others?
In Mark 12, Jesus identifies these as the two greatest commandments, but biblical love is about much more than a feeling. It is a daily choice to pursue God, obey Him, and love the people around us, even when they are difficult to love.
In this message, we explore what it means to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We’ll look at why religious activity can become empty when love is missing, why we cannot separate our love for God from our love for others, and how Jesus calls us to love even our enemies.
At the center of it all is the reminder that we do not love perfectly. Our hope is not found in how well we love, but in how completely God has already loved us. We love because He first loved us.
