Mark 6:52-7:23: Fence Builders

Religion has a long history of building fences around who is acceptable and who is not. In Mark chapter 7, Jesus confronted the Pharisees for elevating human traditions above God's actual commands, using religious rules to determine who was spiritually worthy. Jesus made clear that the real problem is never what is on the outside of a person, but what comes from within the heart.
