Ephesian 5:1-14: Born for Brightness

Paul's letter to the Ephesians reveals that our identity as God's dearly loved children should determine our actions. Rather than asking how close we can get to sin, we should pursue holiness by fleeing from even hints of compromise. Sin stems from pride and idolatry, placing ourselves above God. The solution isn't fighting darkness but stepping into the light of Christ. As children of light, we're called to expose darkness through thanksgiving and righteous living. Our presence should bring brightness to our homes, workplaces, and communities, serving as a contrast to the culture around us rather than blending into it.
